Comments have to be approved before they are shown on the blog and as this comment is so laughable I almost didn’t bother publishing it. However on reflection, I thought it was an excellent illustration of the sort of thing any successful trader like Peter has to put up with.

Even though I’ve published your question, I’m not going to dignify it with an answer.

Many thanks for writing this vlog. It was a good read and you make some great points , I’m glad you had a good day. You are correct ten pound to meet Peter plus a Bet Angel mug is too good for just ten pound.

Peter Webb is the biggest marketer? This blog looks like he wrote it. There are some strange things about this review.

Why would he contact Betfair and ask for a letter to show his turnover to put on the wall? He could publish a video of his accounts lifetime profits? A letter can be forged and Betfair do not sponsor him anymore.

Why did you have to submit pre approved questions before going? He could answer them on twitter and facebook.

I suspect you are not interested in sharing these truths so I will screenshot the comment for the public to see if you edit or do not publish. I think its fair.

Peter Webb is the biggest marketer?.

Peter almost certainly isn’t the biggest marketer. There is a guy called Seth Godin who probably is. (Google him)
Does Peter market his company? Yes he does, I think you’d have to concede he’d be daft not to. Why would anyone have a company and not promote it? My point is that unlike others he does not tweet bookmaker and sportsbook free bet sign up offers with affiliate links in them. He has his Bet Angel software company and he promotes that.

This blog looks like he wrote it

You’re just going to have to take my word for the fact that the blog is mine and I wrote the article. I set it up about a year ago, but my previous poker blog was set up in 2008 and has hundreds of posts on it going back to then. You’d have to be impressed if Peter went to the trouble of pretending to be me setting up a blog 11 years ago and writing hundreds of posts just so he could come out of the woodwork now and right a positive review about his company.

There are some strange things about this review

I’m a strange guy. So yes you got me there.

Why would he contact Betfair and ask for a letter to show his turnover to put on the wall?

I don’t know the answer to that you’d have to ask Peter.

He could publish a video of his accounts lifetime profits?

He could do but you’d probably say it was fake.

      A letter can be forged…

Correct, letters can be forged and in truth I did not take the letter away and get it forensically examined so although I believe it was genuine (It looked fine to me) I can’t offer evidence to substantiate it. I would just point out that all the attendees for the event were impressed enough with him he really didn’t need to go to the trouble of faking letters to impress us more.

and Betfair do not sponsor him anymore.

I have only been trading since January 2019 so I don’t know if he was ever sponsored by Betfair and if he is or isn’t now. Not sure whether him being sponsored by Betfair is relevant to anything I’ve written in the blog?

Why did you have to submit pre approved questions before going? He could answer them on twitter and facebook.

We were asked to submit one question prior to the event not so it could be “pre approved” the reasons for this were explained in the email and the agenda if you’d care to read the article again more carefully. He just wanted to make sure that everyone on the day had their most important question answered. We all did, none of our questions were not “approved”.
They were all answered on the day face to face with the people who asked them. You’re right again he could have answered them all on Twitter and Facebook and saved me the trouble of driving down there but he literally answered dozens and dozens of other questions which I’d have missed the answer to. Follow up questions and clarification questions that you can only have with a face to face chat.

I suspect you are not interested in sharing these truths so I will screenshot the comment for the public to see if you edit or do not publish. I think its fair.

I think it’s also fair that I get to offer my opinion on your comment. Why do you bother? If you don’t rate Peter Webb just avoid him, don’t follow him on Twitter, don’t read articles like this, don’t watch his videos, or buy the Bet Angel software and most certainly don’t bother wasting your time commenting on this blog post.

If you walk past a notice board with a leaflet on it offering guitar lessons do you go to the trouble of ringing them up to complain about the fact that you don’t want guitar lessons? Most people just walk past and ignore things they aren’t interested in. You should try that it makes for a happier life.
Anyway thanks for the comment, I wish you well in the future.

Did somebody just threaten you so they could post some abuse? That’s amazing!

Now that you have been here and, very kindly, written up your experience. I hope it gives you a deeper insight into the trading game. There is a vast difference between those they say they trade and those that actually do.

As you saw, I’ve nothing to hide and was happy to field any question on the day. If you want the correspondence that was behind that letter, let me know and I’ll forward it to you.

For those that are unsure. I’ve traded each week this year and been profitable and paid higher rate PC every week so far this year. That Cheltenham screen shot is very real.

I know that doesn’t sit well with some people. But I’ve always hoped that people will be inspired by what is possible, not chagrined by it. Trading isn’t easy by any measure. But before exchanges it wasn’t possible to win, but now it is. That should be something that should be embraced.

If you want to leave a comment on here please feel free to do so. However if you use a fake name/email addresses etc to try an post troll type comments then I’m just not going to post them up.

If you’re willing to use your real name then I will post it up.

Healthy debate is good and I’m happy for people to voice opinions that disagree with mine but I won’t accept anonymous bullshit.

James I don’t know if Peter plans to run another one of these anytime soon, I don’t work for BetAngel. If you get in touch with Peter via his Bet Angel website or the forum or his Twitter account (@betangel) I’m sure he will let you know if he has any plans to run another.
